Simplify. It’s a word that everyone seems to latch onto as plans for a new year get into full swing especially in the P2P automation world. Then some problem crops up or some process goes awry, and “simplifying” gets trampled in a rush to do something – anything – to “fix the problem.”

But the problem doesn’t really get fixed. It just gets another layer of band-aids that further complicate the issue and takes you even further away from the actual solution. You hobble along, doing the best you can with what you have, and at the beginning of the next year, you’re once again wishing for simplicity...that’s once again going to get buried under the weight of too many things to do and not enough time to do them.

We’d like to think that this is a little overdramatic, but The Standish Group agrees with our “busted simplicity” scenario. All of those projects that you’ve spent months (or years) planning and preparing to implement? A third of them will be cancelled. More than half – 52 percent – will cost 189 percent more than budgeted. (That’s not a typo, but it is ugly math if you’re in charge of a project.) Only 16 percent of projects will be completed on time and on budget and 80 percent will completely fail.

Now that you’re completely depressed and ready to chuck it all in a sudden massive rethinking of your career choice...we’d like to offer you a different solution.

To us, it’s more than a solution. It’s actually the whole reason why DataServ exists. We believe software solutions should simply deliver fantastic results so that you can focus on what’s most important. DataServ does that by simplifying (there’s that word again!) using the SaaS solutions we’ve built from scratch.

Our clients – most of whom have been with us for 10+ years – can tell you exactly how we’ve simplified their AP and AR functions. DataServ has solutions for your most pressing needs, including increased visibility, improved reporting, elimination of paper, and reduction of manual tasks. In 2020, we’re continuing to roll out automation solutions, based in large part on the constant feedback we actively ask for from our clients, that simplify workflow and simplify your work life.

So, don’t let another year go by that adds more layers of complication to your business processes. Give simplifying a shot and make 2020 the year that you find real solutions. Contact us to get started.
